    LOCAL STUDENTS BRING HOME MEDALS

    AT THE STANFORD OPEN TAE KWON DO COMPETITION

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

    CARSON CITY NV- (June 5, 2007) Grand Master Chi Duong led a small group of his students to the Stanford University 2007 spring open Tae Kwon Do tournament held in Palo Alto last weekend.

    The Stanford tournament included Tae kwon do schools from the United States with over 480 competitors. The tournament followed the World Tae Kwon Do Federation guidelines; included competitions in Poomsae (Forms), Sparring, and Breaking.

    Local students receiving awards in Poomsae competition included: Varun Pandit, age 5, Gold Medal, and Josh Hurd, age 14, Silver Medal.

    Awards in Sparring included: Josh Hurd: Gold Medal. Varun Pandit: Silver Medal. Magnus Johnson: Gold Medal. Logan Johnson: Gold Medal. Nick Hummel: Silver Bronze Medal.

    Paul Chang and Edwin Seiler were tournament referees; Mr. Tracy Coleman as coach.

    And other participants are: TayLor Bradshaw age 13. Marco Torres, age 7

    GM Chi has been the Nevada State Referee Chairman and Nevada State TKD Vice President. Additionally he is certified as a National referee for United State Tae Kwon Do Union, and is an International referee for the World Tae Kwon Do Federation.

    TAEKWONDO COMPETITION IN LAS VEGAS

    CARSON CITY NV- (November5, 2004) Grand Master Chi Duong led a small group of his students to the 22nd Annual International TaeKwonDo tournament held in Las Vegas last weekend.

    The Las Vegas tournament included schools from Viet Nam, Korea, Nicaragua, Mexico, and other countries as well as schools from the United States with over 600 competitors. The tournament followed the World TaeKwonDo Federation guidelines; included competitions in Poomsae (Form), Sparring, and Breaking.

    Local students receiving awards in Poomsae competition included: Nicholas Hummel, age 10, Silver Medal, Erin Chang, age 11, Bronze Medal, Paul Chang, age 13, Bronze Medal, and Krystine Redmond, age 12, Bronze Medal.

    Awards in Sparring included: Dartanyan Perry, age 8, Gold Medal, Nicholas Hummel Silver Medal, Paul Chang Silver Medal, Erin Chang Bronze Medal, Kristine Redmond Bronze Medal.

    Grand Master Chi notes that Chinese Taipei has already recruited 500 dedicated and talented students to train for the 2008 Olympic games in China. He intends to bring US Olympians especially Northern Nevada future Olympians to defend our country in Beijing.

    Grand Master Chi intends to continue to train students interested in competing in the 2008 Olympic games. Chi Says," any students willing to work hard can train with me to try and compete in 2008 Olympic".

    GM Chi has been the Nevada State Referee Chairman and Nevada State TKD Vice President. Additionally he is certified as a National referee for United State TaeKwonDo Union, and is an International referee for the World TaeKwonDo Federation. GM Chi will conduct referee classes in the future.

    SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY AND 50 YEARS OF TRAINING LEAD TO 8TH DEGREE BLACK BELT

    CARSON CITY NV - (October 18, 2004) Attend a Tae Kwon Do class with Grand Master Chi Duong in Carson City, and you will be in for a surprise.

    This unique mix of common sense and tough training is recognized with Grand Master Chi’s upcoming international award.

    Grand Master Kyo Yoon Lee, the founder of Han Moo Kwan, has awarded Grand Master Chi Duong of Carson City the 8th Dan (degree) black belt. There are only a few 8th degree black belts in the United States certified by the founding Korean organization.

    The public and media are invited to a special demonstration and ceremony honoring Grand Master Chi at the Chi Kwan Tae Kwon Do School in Carson City, Nevada On October 27th, 2004 at 7:00 p.m.
